And away we go!!!

We left Chehalis at 9:03 Friday morning and arrived in Chelan about 4:30 to meet Jake and park the car for a couple days. We are leaving one cat and our little doggy with him while we're gone. Jake is giving a sermon on Sunday and we don't want to miss that. We are hoping to leave Sunday afternoon and might make it to Pendelton, Oregon. I will post updates as we go. There may be a day or two lull because of internet access. We will be going to some out-of-the-way places and we don't know what we'll find. Stay tuned!

Hey look at you guys! All is well on the home front. Kenny and I went black power and archery shooting today with scouts. Beautiful weather here for the last two days but it will be changing tomorrow. Anyway have fun and take lots of pictures.

Straddling the border between Texas and New Mexico is the forgotten ghost town of Glenrio. Once a monument along the boom and bust highway of Route 66, it now remains home to only the critters and the blowing tumble weeds of the vast prairie.
When traveling eastbound on I-40, you can take the Bard Exit 361. Note that the majority of the road from Bard to Glenrio is dirt and gravel.
